Daniel Pambianchi, author of best-seller \u201cTechniques in Home Winemaking,\u201d and publisher V\u00e9hicule Press are announcing the launch of a new general-interest wine book for the spring of 2010.<\/em><\/p>\n

V\u00e9hicule Press will publish expert home winemaker and commercial winery operator Daniel Pambianchi\u2019s new book \u201cWine Myths, Facts & Snobberies: 81 Questions & Answers on the Science and Enjoyment of Wine\u201d to be released in the spring of 2010.<\/p>\n

\u201cWine Myths, Facts & Snobberies\u201d answers some of the most common and quirky questions from wine lovers and debunks wine myths about, for example, wine service and the health benefits of wine. Answers are based on the author\u2019s wine science knowledge and experience, opinions from experts in the field, and literature search. Topics range from the science of winemaking to wine styles, faults, wine service, health concerns, and frauds. For example, it discusses why Riesling smells of petrol, how ice wine is produced, the problem of corked wine and the shift to screwcaps, why so many different kinds of tasting glasses, the differences among organic, biodynamic and sustainable winemaking, what makes red wine beneficial in the so-called French Paradox, and some of the more common adulteration frauds in the wine world.<\/p>\n
